On 31 May 2026, the Continuing Education Center (CEC) at Tishk International University (TIU) launched a free English language course for students who have completed Grade 11 and will start Grade 12 under the Sunrise educational system. The course aims to enhance students’ English language skills and prepare them academically for the upcoming school year.
Prior to the launch of the course, approximately 1,000 students were contacted through phone calls and messages and invited to participate in this educational opportunity. The initiative was designed to provide students with additional support in developing their communication, grammar, reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.
The course officially started with the first group of students on 31 May 2026. The program will continue for three weeks, with classes held five days per week and three lessons delivered each day. Interactive classroom activities, language practice sessions, and skill-development exercises have been incorporated into the curriculum to ensure effective learning outcomes.
The course was organized and coordinated by the Continuing Education Center (CEC) team at TIU under the supervision of Ms. Dunya Ibrahim Qadir and the CEC staff. The first group of students attended the opening sessions, and due to the high demand and positive response from students, CEC plans to open additional groups in the coming weeks to accommodate more participants.
The course provides students with an excellent opportunity to strengthen their English proficiency before entering Grade 12, helping them build confidence and improve their academic performance. It also reflects CEC’s commitment to supporting school students and contributing to educational development in the community.
