TIU(Continuing Education Center) organized a TOEFL/IELTS preparatory course, delivered on the 13th of December, 2020, to a group of participants that intended to take the international English examination. The aim of this course was to teach the technical skills required to take the TOEFL/IELTS exam, and support the students in developing the reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills and techniques required for the corresponding sections in the examination.
The course was delivered in 6 weeks: Evening classes are offered three days a week, for 3 hours a day, from 5 PM to 7:30 PM. The classes allow students to improve their linguistic and communication skills and are specifically designed for upper-intermediate and advanced English speakers who need to practice key test-taking strategies, focusing on the four skills tested by the exam: English speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students who plan to seek admission to English Language universities will find both courses particularly useful The curriculum offers face-to-face, individual sessions for students who wish to enhance their English levels through an effective and efficient personalized program.
The program was launched on the 13th of December, 2020, and lasted until the 24th of January 2021. The course was successfully delivered by Dr. Recep Bilgin.
